Micky Adams has made "People's Player" Rod Thomas and Jamie Campbell available for transfer.
Seven other Seagulls have been given free transfers, while six more have been offered new contracts. Those going include experienced trio Warren Aspinall, Keith McPherson and Martin Ling, together with No. 2 goalkeeper Mark Ormerod.
First-choice keeper Mark Walton and Kerry Mayo have been offered fresh terms, along with a quartet of youngsters. Winger Thomas and defender Campbell both have a year of their contracts still to run.
Thomas was dubbed the "People's Player" after fans raised £25,000 to sign him from Chester 18 months ago. He has been unable to command a regular place under Adams and made only his third start since the end of November in last Saturday's 2-1 win at Shrewsbury.
Campbell, signed by Adams on a free transfer from Cambridge United last summer, was a regular on the left side of the defence in the first half of the season until falling out of favour and losing his place to Mayo.
He has started only one League game since he was sent off at Swansea in December. There are no real surprises among the seven given free transfers. Midfielder Aspinall and veteran stopper McPherson have been on the fringes of the first team for much of the season.
Ling was signed on a short-term contract in March in a bid to boost Albion's late play-off bid, while Ormerod has been frustrated by a lack of first team opportunities. The other victims of the clearout out are injury-plagued Irish midfielder Paul Armstrong, young defender Ryan Palmer and winger John Westcott, who has been loaned out to several non-League clubs this season.
The playing contract of Reserve coach Ian Culverhouse has also not been renewed. Walton and Mayo are joined on the wanted list by teenage striker Scott Ramsay, midfielder Danny Davis, defender Ben Andrews and third keeper Will Packham.
