A four-year-old record tumbled at the Sussex CA 25-mile Team Championship at Cowfold.
Newly-formed east Sussex club, In Gear, demolished the previous best four-man aggregate time of 3hr.55min.55sec set by Eastbourne Rovers.
In Gear posted a new time of 3hr.52min.41sec and leader Steve Elms set an individual course record of 56min.34sec. Their other three team members were Alan Curtis (58min.30sec), Chris Lord (58min.43sec) and Dave Pollard (58min.54sec).
The Sussex CA has expanded to include Hampshire clubs and Portsmouth North End's team were runners-up with 4hr.5min.8sec.
Their quartet were Richard Berogna (1hr.0min.33sec), Dave Dent (1hr.0min.42sec), Steve Walking (1hr.0min.43sec) and Simon Berogne (1hr.3min.10sec).

Worthing's Steve Geran (2XS) won the first senior race of the season at the Hove Park circuit. Southampton pair Mark Pierce and Chris Meeus (Hargroves Cycles) were fourth and fifth and Bruce Griffiths (In Gear) sixth.
Eastbourne Rovers dominated the Hampshire Road club's ten-mile time trial at Fontwell. Jon Sharples won in 21min.15sec while team-mate Simon Prior was six seconds slower in second place. Hampshire rider Peter Pickers (Northover RT), who has had six previous wins in the event, finished third in 21min.36sec.
Boyd Johnson recorded 22min.4sec for fourth place to give Eastbourne a convincing team win with an impressive aggregate time of just 1hr.4min.40sec. Eastbourne's Harry Featherstone clocked 23min.24sec to win the veterans' handicap while Marina Bloom (Crawley Wheelers) won the women's event in 24min.52sec.
