As the £400,000 needed to maintain bus services at the present level is about half what Brighton and Hove councillors have awarded themselves in allowances, is it too much to expect them to meet this transport deficit?
They surely wish to serve the community and constantly tell us they are not in office for the money.
At one stroke they could both maintain their high principles and give benefit to hundreds of travellers, instead of 76 councillors, most of whom travel by car anyway.
