It's obvious New Labour no longer cares about the people it is supposed to represent.
Brighton and Hove Council has closed the Palmeira Project, while the axing of early morning bus services will be a blow to low paid shift workers and won't encourage less car use.
Local Tory leader Geoffrey Theobald is correct when he blames central government for cutting subsidies to councils - but who does he think is to blame for the 20-year massacre of public services?
The Tories are wrong if they think they will win votes from those disillusioned with New Labour.
However, they will benefit from Labour voters staying at home. Blair got in because voters wanted change.
That's why we need a socialist alternative.
