A former accountant sacked after he blew the whistle on his boss over expenses was awarded more than £293,000 in compensation.
Toni Fernandes took his case to an employment tribunal after being sacked by Netcom Consultants of Reading when he raised concerns about cash advances and expenses paid without receipts. The tribunal found the company's response was to "get rid" of the junior man and leave the company's chief executive, against whom the allegations were made, in place.
