People may pay a little more than just a quick visit to a couple of bathrooms in Brighton.
For inside there is more to look at than just towels and a toilet brush.
Instead, glitter balls, blobs of vivid colour and murals demand the visitors' attention in the loos at Hotel Peliroco and the Regency Tavern.
On a recent visit, the loos certainly grabbed the attention of judges trawling the country searching for the nation's most outstanding toilets.
Both bathrooms have won regional heats in The Charmin Ultimate Loo Awards - also known as The Toilet Oscars.
Jane Slater, owner of Hotel Peliroco, in Regency Square, is proud that her toilet's garish decor has attracted attention.
The bathroom, which has walls daubed with brightly coloured spots, has won the regional final of the award's weird and wonderful category.
Judges said it was chosen for its sheer lack of shame and retro feel.
Jane said: "People are happy to stay somewhere different which isn't decorated with flowered wallpaper."
Jane did not want to bathe in all the glory of the loo awards herself. She nominated The Regency Tavern, which is just around the corner in Russell Square.
Judges have named the Regency's lavatories, adorned with murals and glitter balls, as the poshest loos on the South Coast.
The regional winners will be announced on Saturday. The overall champion will receive the prestigious statuette - a mini gold toilet.
An award spokesman said: "The toilet is often the smallest room in the house but we think it is worth as much attention as the biggest."
