I believe petrol prices should rise even further. At £2 a litre, most motorists would be turned into bus and train users.
As for pensioners, they shouldn't be driving anyway. They're too old and are a menace.
High prices would also get rid of teenage racers who are primarily responsible for making the roads so dangerous.
Only essential road users, such as businesses which rely on deliveries or transportation, and the essential services, should be allowed this privilege.
Drunken drivers and those who commit other driving offences should be banned for a minimum of ten years.
Fuel costs should be subsidised for bus and taxi companies and £500 compensation should be paid by the Government to anyone who scraps an old car.
