I have just learned residents have lost a further 12 parking places in Regency Square alone, due to Brighton and Hove Council's new town centre parking proposals.
Hotel unloading bays in the square will operate for 24 hours a day, whereas residents parking bays will only operate until 7pm, after which it is a free for all.
This is after the council has already recently diverted all Preston Street restaurant parking into Regency Square after removing all the parking there.
As a resident who pays £80 a year to the council for the privilege of not being able to park near my home, I would like to know where I am supposed to put my car when I return late from work in the evening - up a councillor's suburban driveway perhaps?
