Kevin Lines is well known for being a bit of a joker and enjoys playing pranks at the expense of his mates.
Because he has embarrassed so many friends over the years, he had a list of suspects as long as his arm when he discovered his car had been completely covered in cling film.
But despite not being able to guess the identity of the joker, Kevin was impressed by their sense of humour and had a chuckle to himself.
The cling film on Kevin's Ford Orion was discovered when girlfriend Nicola Lee, 25, opened the front door to go shopping.
Kevin immediately saw something was not quite right with his car and on closer inspection realised he had been duped by the cling film joker.
Kevin, 27, of Downside, Angmering, said: "I have got no idea at the moment who has played this prank on me, but I have a list of names and will be going through it.
"It could take me a while. No one springs to mind but I have played lots of jokes over the years, so it could be a few people paying me back."
Kevin, who works at Sainsbury's in Rustington, said: "Whoever it was has done a very good job and I am very impressed. It really made me laugh.
"It has covered the whole car, underneath and top and a tube has been left on the roof for good measure.
"When people leave work or get married it is always me who comes up with the practical jokes but this time I have fallen victim to one."
Over the years Kevin has cling-filmed toilets, left embarrassing messages for friends at work and raised a mate's car up on green crates.
