Eastbourne Eagles boosted their Elite Speedway League title hopes with a thrilling 46-44 win at Peterborough last night.
Grand Prix ace Joe Screen was the Eastbourne star with a paid 18 points, his highest score in Eagles' colours.
It was the Sussex squad's second win at Peterborough this season on a track which has always given them problems in the past.
This time, they came from six points down to clinch victory in the last heat with a 3-3 from Screen and Dean Barker.
Barker and Petri Kokko gave Screen magnificent support with double-figure returns, both scoring wins from behind over Panthers' No. 1 Ryan Sullivan.
Eagles went into the match without Paul Hurry, who has a shoulder injury, but still had too many guns for the home side.
Peterborough: Ryan Sullivan 15, Stefan Andersson 11, Brett Woodifield 7, Sam Tesar 5, David Howe 5, Nigel Sadler 1.
Eastbourne: Joe Screen 16, Dean Barker 10, Petri Kokko 10, Martin Du-gard 5, David Norris 5, Brent Collyer 0.
