More than 3,500 estate agents branches across the UK have signed up to the Fish4homes share offer taking a 20 per cent slice of the site's share capital.
The flood of applications will result in the details of more than 250,000 properties being available on the Fish4homes site by September.
Fish4 chief executive Jonathan Turpin said: "This proves the internet is an established channel for finding homes.
"Consumers now look there as a matter of course.
"If estate agents are not involved, they could be missing out."
The take-up of the offer positions Fish4homes firmly as one of the UK's biggest property websites in terms of volume of properties, creating a giant national shop window for house-buyers and a strong marketing opportunity for estate agents.
