I agree with Brighton and Hove policies and resources committee the subsidy paid to Brighton and Hove Bus Company should not be raised from the current figure of £750,000 by a further £410,000 (Argus, July 13).
What sort of a business is Brighton and Hove Buses running? It's no good spending thousands of pounds on new buses and then asking for an extra £410,000.
How about a temporary hold on buying new buses, a temporary freeze on fares (which must be some of the most expensive outside the capital) and proper salaries and working conditions for drivers?
