Please stop it before it's finished. I am talking about the crass erection taking place at the south eastern side of the Patcham A23/A27 interchange.
First we thought it was going to be some sort of temporary sign which would have been bearable, but day by day it is becoming more permanent.
We can only guess at its purpose as the authorities seem to have no answers. I hope Brighton does not have to suffer the indignity of a welcome sign made from a floral display or will it be a billboard advertising the 30th annual holiday on ice extravaganza?
Either of these two would be hideous and would suit Eastbourne or Bournemouth but not Brighton. Yes, I am a culture snob.
Whatever it is, with more road accidents occuring on roundabouts than anywhere else, it's hardly an ideal location.
