A new product has added an illuminating aspect to a designer's collection.
Richard Ray, 31, has been manufacturing glassware at his studio in Namrik Mews, Hove, for more than a year.
He has recently added a new lighting selection to his range.
He has crafted table-lamps of various shapes and sizes.
The same technique can also be used for standing lights and ceiling lighting.
Richard uses an intricate procedure to make each piece.
He creates plaster moulds to set his designs of recycled glass which are then fired in a kiln before a hand-finishing stage.
A day's work goes into making every different item in his collection.
Richard said: "The glass is crushed up and re-fused to a really appealing effect.
"It looks like everything has been made out of ice."
Richard has trained thoroughly for his work.
He studied 3D design to degree level and took a postgraduate course specialising in glass and ceramics.
Now he carries out the practical application of his learning to produce eye-catching homeware, including mirrors, picture frames and bowls.
