The children's playground and paddling pool at Hove Lagoon, which recently celebrated its first anniversary, is very attractive. Congratulations to all involved.
However, it is a great pity Brighton and Hove Council did not go all the way in making this part of the seafront family and environmentally friendly.
I wonder whether parents are aware the adjacent beaches are the few on the Kingsway on which dogs are allowed? Dogs' toilets and children's health do not go together very well.
Is the council saying 'no dogs in the playground, take them to the beach instead'? Families beware! The beaches fronting the Lagoon complex are not family friendly.
