With the increase in residential development in the Haywards Heath area, there is a greater need than ever for the accident and emergency department at the Princess Margaret hospital.
The fact Crawley A&E is already shut means we have fewer hospitals within a half hour radius. When the link road around Haywards Heath is added, traffic and the flow of people around the area will increase even further.
Also, being quite rural the possibility of farming and forestry accidents are quite high, not to mention the loss of jobs in a very high risk industry.
This should be taken into account before the closure of this valuable service.
