A man is calling on McDonald's to change packaging of ice cream tubs after rescuing two hedgehogs who caught their heads in them.
Kim Atkinson, 46, of Bramber Avenue, Peacehaven, has freed two of the animals while driving home at night from work.
The fast food chain is redesigning the packaging of its McFlurry tubs with a holed plastic lid after a similar complaint but Mr Atkinson wants them changed immediately.
A McDonald's spokesman said: "This was brought to our attention a while ago after a milkman in Oxford encountered the same thing and as a result we will be changing the packaging. However, if people didn't drop litter none of this would happen."
