It was hats off to the girls during Ladies Day at Brighton Racecourse yesterday.
A fantastic array of millinery was on show as the women of the town enjoyed a day out.
Among them was a group of traders from the Lanes led by Sue Addis, chairman of The Lanes Traders Association.
Each had a unique hat for the day designed by Lucy Tamma, of Hat Heaven.
Denise Taylor, secretary of the Lanes Traders Association, won the Ladies Day prize for the best hat and Mrs Addis, who sported a pizza shaped hat which even had the name of her restaurant Donatello on it, took second.
Mrs Addis said: "We all work very hard and we came together to let our hair down and enjoyed a brilliant day.
"We are donating the winning hat to the Argus Appeal and will be filling it with vouchers for goods and services at all our shops."
