Road safety measures are to be installed across West Sussex.
The county council will lay high-friction surfacing at the side of 24 roads to reduce skid-related accidents, particularly at approaches to junctions and on sharp bends.
It will cost £99,000 and take four weeks to complete.
Motorists are being warned to expect delays.
Colin McKenna, head of council transport planning services, apologised in advance for any delays the work may cause.
The work will be carried out at:

Lavant: B2178 Old Broyle Road/Brandy Hole Lane.
Bersted: A259 Toucan Crossing, north west of Brazwick Avenue.
