A 22-year-old man was attacked as he walked through Crawley town centre just after midnight last night.
He was grabbed from behind by two or three men outside Gamleys toy shop, Haslett Avenue, knocked to the ground and kicked about the head several times.
He was taken to Crawley Hospital where he was treated for gashes to his head.
