Nursing home residents celebrated the Queen Mother's 100th birthday a week late after a party was abandoned because of a fire.
More than 40 residents had to be evacuated when fire broke out at Regency Court nursing home, Littlehampton, in the early hours of August 4.
Residents were delighted when the party was rearranged.
Fire station commander Raymond Jackson, based at Shoreham, who was in charge of the fire operation, attended the celebrations.
Maureen Clarke, home administrator, said: "The residents loved talking to him about the events."
