While Gucci, Prada and Armani use expensive leather, environmentally-aware designer Lizzie Lee goes for a cheaper option.
She has created a range of handbags made from bottle tops and fruit netting.
Lizzie, 26, a recent graduate of Brighton University, insists on using materials which can be found around the home.
She said: "I wanted to make recycling less grey and more colourful in design terms. Hopefully this will encourage people to reuse materials."
Lizzie, who has won an Innovations Award from the university, hopes to put on a show in Florence this summer before embarking on a career in design.
