Have we no defence against the packs of so-called travellers with their expensive, modern caravans and business vehicles?
It seems they are free to park wherever they like, ply their cowboy trades for a week or two and then move on, leaving behind piles of trash and rubble for someone else to clear up. They have become so bold they have started to use Preston Park now.
Other councils have dealt with the problem by targeting the vans and trucks, since it is easier to remove an illegally parked vehicle than it is people.
Can Brighton and Hove Council and the police get together on this and organise a quick, effective response? The residents deserve it and need it now.
