Albion have been hit for six by an injury crisis ahead of tomorrow's trip to Lincoln.
The Seagulls have half-a-dozen players who were unable to train yesterday and are under treatment for the trip to Sincil Bank.
Manager Micky Adams is hopeful captain Charlie Oatway (groin), Darren Freeman (hernia), Darren Carr (hamstring) and Lee Steele (ankle) will all be available for selection.
Warren Aspinall is definitely out after damaging ankle ligaments in a friendly behind closed doors at Southampton on Monday and summer signing Richard Carpenter is also a big doubt with an ankle problem.
Oatway limped off in the latter stages of Tuesday's Worthington Cup defeat by Millwall.
The combative midfielder is battling to lead Albion out against the club he joined for three matches on loan from Brentford in October 1998.
"I know most of the boys there and they are a good bunch of lads," Oatway said. "I was with their manager Phil Stant before at Cardiff as well.
"They are a hard working side and they will be up for it after losing heavily in the Worthington Cup.
"That wasn't good for us, because they now know they have got to go out and prove they are not a bad side."
Adams also fears a backlash from Lincoln's 6-1 hammering by Sheffield United, the club he supported as a boy. "I am sure their pride has been dented slightly," he said.
"They haven't won yet and they will all have something to prove. They've got good players who on their day are more than capable of beating anybody."
Freeman has been booked in for an operation to repair his double hernia on September 5.
Nathan Jones, could make his full debut tomorrow and there will also be at least a place on the bench for Lincoln-born Steve Melton.
