Brighton programmers have teamed up with motor racing legend Stirling Moss to create a retro-racing game.
Climax Brighton will work with the 70-year-old winner of 16 Formula One World Championship races to create a PlayStation2 title based on the Italy's Mille Miglia race.
The race from Brescia to Rome began in 1927. The game will simulate the experience of guiding vintage cars through 1,000 miles of Italian countryside.
Sir Stirling, who set a Mille Miglia course record in 1955 which still stands, will test the game and offer its designers an insight into the realities of life as a post-war driver.
Climax Brighton managing director Tony Beckwith said: "We can't wait to meet Sir Stirling. He's meant to be a really nice bloke.
"The Mille Miglia is referred to by those in the know as the most beautiful race in the world.
"We are confident our rendition of the game will also become known as the most beautiful racer on PlayStation2."
Climax has also been working on Lego titles for the Gameboy and Superbike 2000 for Electronic Arts.
