I would like to counter the misinformation being spread in Woodingdean by those opposed to the draft proposals for electoral ward boundary changes prior to decision by the Boundary Commission.
It is not the case that residents living in any south Woodingdean roads moved into Rottingdean ward will suffer an increase in council tax. The Rottingdean Parish boundary only covers a percentage of Rottingdean itself.
These changes are for voting purposes only and do not change postcodes or addresses.
-Coun Gill Mitchell, Brighton and Hove deputy mayor
