Sussex have made two changes for their must-win Championship game against Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge starting today (11am).

Michael Bevan returns to the team which have lost all three games in his absence in place of Will House while Billy Taylor replaces Mark Robinson in the attack.

Sussex are sixth in the second division and must win their remaining two games to have any chance of earning promotion. Even then, according to coach Peter Moores, they will still be relying on other results.

Moores said: "It's a very attacking line-up because we need to win the game. It was a tough call on Robbo, but Billy deserves his chance because he has been churning out wickets in the second team.

"Will is also unlucky, but he's not an opening bat although he could become one and we think it would be very harsh not to give Mike Yardy an extended run at the top of the order."

Academy prospect Richard Marshall joins the squad for the first time as 12th man.

Sussex: Montgomerie, Yardy, Adams, Bevan, Cottey, Martin-Jenkins, Rashid, Wilton, Kirtley, Lewry, Taylor.

Jamie Carpenter and Will House struck half centuries as Sussex 2nd XI were dismissed for 239 after winning the toss in their Championship clash against Surrey yesterday.

Mark Robinson then had Jason Ratcliffe caught behind as Surrey closed on 11-1.

Sussex gave debuts to four players. Opener Andy Perry made two and wicketkeeper Colin Smith went for a duck but Mark Davies (39) and Tim Van Noort (27) contributed useful knocks
