If the West Pier is counting on getting planning permission to start its market up again, let us hope all the rent from the new venture goes to the West Pier trust and not into the pocket of some third party as it did before.
If, as previously reported in the Argus, its agent was making between £3,000 to £8,000 a month, that is at the very least £36,000 a year the trust was losing.
