Sussex have offered 17-year-old Australian-born wicketkeeper-batsman Tim Ambrose a two-year contract.
Ambrose, who qualifies through his English mother, has gone back to his home in Newcastle, NSW to think over the offer.
Sussex's final 2nd XI match of the season against Middlesex from September 12-15 has been switched to Hastings to enable new groundsman Derek Traill, who starts work on Monday, to begin digging up part of the square at Hove.
