Saltdean were the only County League team to win out of Sussex in preliminary round ties.
Sean Randell grabbed the only goal of a 1-0 success away to Ryman League division three side Camberley Town.
Randell struck from the penalty spot after 50 minutes after the impressive Paul Boxall was brought down.
Manager Glenn Burvill, whose side now visit Andover, said: "We were by far the better side and we should have scored three or four. We didn't play particularly well in the first half but Paul Boxall caused them all sorts of problems."
Camberley's only real chance came late on when John Essam was forced to clear off the line.
Saltdean's line-up included striker Marc Shaw, who came on as substitute for the last 15 minutes. Shaw was a prolific striker for the club a few years ago and he has now re-signed for the Tigers.
Burgess Hill enjoyed a comfortable 4-1 victory at home to Brockenhurst. The Hillians, who now visit Whyteleafe, took a 2-0 first-half lead through Justin Simmons and Junior Lamont.
The visitors pulled one back in the second half, but Ashley Carr made it 3-1 from the penalty spot after Paul Thomsett was brought down, Daren Newman added a fourth after good work from teenage substitute Mohammed Meah and Matt Ash hit a post late on.
The Quigg family were celebrating at East Preston as 19-year-old Andrew scored the winner for dad Jimmy's side.
Quigg junior struck from Terry Withers' deep cross to clinch a surprise 1-0 win over Redhill, who later had a man sent-off.
Boss Jimmy said: "We were under the cosh towards the end but we played some really good stuff in the first half. People might see this as a shock win."
