Builders have started work on putting the final touches to a new £750,000 community project in West Sussex.
Fishergate Community Association has managed to raise enough money to begin the building of a new community centre for the area.
The money was raised for the cost of the scheme with the help of grants, donations and fund-raising campaigns. It is one of the largest projects of its kind in the area.
All the necessary groundwork for the building to be constructed has been completed. The main hall and supporting offices have already been made and are being stored at the manufacturer's factory.
Now the actual structure of the building is going up and the next stage will be to stock it with a range of equipment that will help to benefit the community.
The building will be used for meetings, offices and events for local residents, groups and associations.
