Yet another famous name has put her signature to a petition to save accident and emergency services in Sussex.
The actress Judy Parfitt, who lives in Hurstpierpoint, signed the petition against a possible downgrading of emergency care at the Princess Royal Hospital in Haywards Heath.
She was invited to back the campaign by the Save The Princess Royal Hospital Action Group.
Chairman Anne Jones said: "We will keep urging people to sign this petition. It is very important."
Health chiefs are consulting the public about potential changes to the PRH as part of moves to centralise medical care. The Argus is also circulating a petition against moves to shift emergency surgery cases away from Haywards Heath.
Parfitt recently appeared in the hit US medical television drama ER.
