Worthing Thunder coach Neil McElduff admits his side may struggle to emulate last season's achievements.
The Thunder's new National Conference campaign starts with a trip to Manchester on Sunday.
Thunder will be without two key members of last season's squad who reached the cup final and finished second in the league. Free-scoring Sean Hampton and Plymouth-bound Peter Knetchel have been replaced by 6ft 7in forward Torquin Gresham and guard Vandale Thomas. McElduff said: "Everyone is capable of beating each other. Our side isn't quite as experienced as last year, but I do feel we have more strength in depth."
Ex-Bear Stuart Newman and Paul Sparrowhawk, a former captain of defunct Mid Sussex Magic, have also signed.
