Albion boss Micky Adams will abandon his unbeaten formation in a bid to sink second-placed Cheltenham.

Adams has used Bobby Zamora as a lone striker through the middle in draws at Millwall and Cardiff plus Tuesday's win at Blackpool.

But he will return to a more orthodox system for Saturday's showdown at Withdean.

"I think we will possibly change it," Adams said. "It has worked wonders for us away from home, but the onus is on us to attack at Withdean."

That could mean a return for winger Paul Brooker, who has come off the bench in the last three games.

Brooker's last start was in Albion's last match at Withdean, the 6-2 thrashing of Torquay.

The players did not arrive home from Blackpool until 4am yesterday morning, so Adams has given them an extra day off today to recover.

"We had out first clean sheet and first away win," he said. "That's four undefeated and we have taken seven points out of the last nine.

"Four games ago I didn't really fancy the matches we had coming up because of the form we were in, but it doesn't take a lot to turn the season around."

Albion ended last season with a 14-match unbeaten run and Adams believes they are running into the same sort of form again.

Skipper Paul Rogers, fresh from his first goal of the season at Blackpool, scored a last-gasp winner for the Seagulls against Cheltenham at Withdean last season.

"We've got to try to carry on this run," said Rogers. "Cheltenham proved last season they are a big, strong and consistent side and they don't let many goals in.

"We know it's going to be a difficult game and we hope the crowd gets behind us like the fans that made it to Blackpool. They were magnificent."
