A man accused of murdering Crawley resident Andrew Boyd, 39, has been remanded in custody until September 27 by Peterborough magistrates.
Peter Bartholomew, of Bretton, Peterborough, was charged after the body of Mr Boyd, from Tuscany Gardens, Northgate, was found in the River Nene near Peterborough in August.
No further action is being taken against four other people who were arrested in connection with the murder.
