Cuts made to some of the busiest bus routes in Sussex will be reversed next month.
Brighton and Hove Buses reduced services on Metro Line 7 in the summer because of a shortage of drivers.
Metro Line 25 was also cut back because of the long university summer holiday.
But weekday daytime Line 7 services will increase from every ten to every seven or eight minutes from October 1.
The route runs from George Street in Hove to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton and on to the Bristol Estate or the Marina.
On Sunday evenings a new 7B will run half-hourly, combining existing routes to the Bristol Estate and the Marina.
Weekday daytime services on line 25, between Portslade station and the universities, will increase from every 20 minutes to every ten.
Extra journeys will also run at peak hours from Portslade station to Falmer.
But other cuts will come into effect on October 1 because Brighton and Hove Council cannot increase its financial support.
This mainly affects buses around Brighton and Hove on Sunday evenings.
Metro routes 1, 5, 7, 25 and 49 carry more than half the passengers in Brighton and Hove.
Managing director Roger French said: "We have been able to restore these services because our staffing position is a little better than it was during the summer."
The company is still not able to restore cuts made during the summer to Metro services 1, between Mile Oak and Whitehawk, and 5, from Hangleton to Patcham.
Mr French said: "There is still a high level of frequency on both these services.
"We regret the reduced frequency on some of our services during the summer and thank the travelling public for their patience."
