Good news for all those people who can't get rid of their unwanted programs by using Microsoft's own uninstaller tool.
McAfee's Uninstaller claims to be able to zap all those "orphaned" files which remain on our computer systems after an unwanted program has been deleted and keep our PCs free of junk.
The software is billed as safe to use. Sadly this is not the case. Any package designed to delete files is fundamentally unsafe, regardless of the way it performs its task.
In the main, McAfee Uninstaller simply does routine maintenance which a user should be attending to as a matter of course, such as emptying the waste bin and clearing out temp files.
Uninstaller is most suitable for brand new machines with clean operating systems.
