It was interesting to see the Countryside Alliance feels it necessary to apologise to local people for any inconvenience their protests may have caused (Argus, September 25). By contrast, those of us who demonstrated against the export of live calves at Shoreham five years ago had no need to apologise to local people because, of course, we were local people.
