Who's trying to kid whom?
I'm sure there were many people who filled in the recent transport options/A27 transport study questionnaire and as there wasn't one question pertinent to the A27, I wonder if, like me, they feel the whole thing is just another red herring.
On September 14, W.S. Atkins' technical director commented that residents will view the study with a pinch of cynicism, but any concerns would be largely unfounded.
Well, pardon me for being a little cynical, but I've waited 30 years for a bypass, so I view the study as just more of the same old window dressing.
Roughly £6 million has been thrown at an old bottleneck disaster area, which will never be able to cope with today's volume of traffic. What we need is a bypass, but I doubt I'll live long enough to see it built!
