I don't understand what the fuss is about the Brighton Station site. Environmental councillor John Ballance has often mumbled about how it will be an example of a 21st century development.
He is right. It is a development of no vision, steered by those powerful beats of corporate interest, Railtrack and Sainsbury's, with a few anonymous consultants picking up some scraps on the side.
The local authority is a timid mouse with local concerns hiding in the shadows and given no say.
