For the greater part of the summer season, the lights on Brighton seafront have been marked with large gaps where dead bulbs have remained un-replaced.
Now the summer is nearly over, I noticed workmen last Friday busily replacing the offending bulbs.
It would seem the Labour council is more interested in appeasing a certain conference's delegates than in pleasing Brighton's residents and summer visitors!
