Police are appealing for witnesses to a serious assault in a town centre.
A man was punched and kicked by a group of men outside the Blockbusters video shop in Uckfield High Street at 11pm on Friday.
The victim, who has not been named, was seriously injured and needed hospital treatment.
Police are anxious to speak to anyone who saw the attack or who may have been drinking in the nearby Cock and Bull pub shortly before closing time.
