Two 17-year-olds were arrested today over a homophobic attack which left a man unconscious in hospital.
The two suspects were picked up by police at an address in Brighton and taken to the John Street police station for questioning.
Clothes found in the house were seized for forensic examination.
Two men suffered head injuries in the assault in St James's Street, Brighton, at 1.50am on Saturday.
One, aged 42, is still unconscious at the Royal Sussex County Hospital.
He was attacked when he intervened as two men were assaulting another man.
The second victim, aged 29, was treated in hospital and later released.
