As a resident of St James's Street in Kemp Town, I was horrified to hear about about the homophobic attack which took place on Saturday night/Sunday morning.
This is bed and breakfast land. Many people returning from clubs and bars might have seen this attack. But the police failed to put boards out in St James's Street in the early morning for witnesses and there was no coverage of the incident on television. I only heard about it on local radio early on Sunday morning. This is really not good enough.
We0 have needed 24-hour community policing in this area of Kemp Town for a long time, but still nothing has been done. I feel positively enraged by this latest incident.
