It seems a strange benefits system that enables young single mothers, often straight from school to motherhood and contributing nothing in the way of taxes or national insurance, to get a home and sufficient cash to keep themselves and their offspring in designer label clothes.
Meanwhile pensioners, who have worked and contributed all their lives, have to buy their clothes in charity shops and can only afford the cheapest of food.
