Crawley's hopes of moving five points clear in the Dr Martens League premier division were shot down by bottom-of-the-table Fisher yesterday.

Reds lost 3-2 and were frequently caught in possession. Fisher stunned the travelling Reds' fans as they took the lead after just seven minutes when Leroy Huggins fired past Andy Little.

Billy Smith's Crawley levelled just four minutes into the second half. A corner was partially cleared, Dave Powell lobbed the ball back in and Danny Carroll headed over the advancing Morris Munden.

Fisher regained the lead against the run of play on 72 minutes as Huggins put Barr on his way and he fired through Little's hands.

Fisher upped the tempo and scored their third goal ten minutes from time as fullback Ray Powell was put in on goal and coolly lobbed Little.

The deficit was reduced in injury time when Mark Newson's handled in the area and Dean Wordsworth slotted home the penalty.

Hastings Town extended their unbeaten away run to seven matches and ended Baldock's 100 per cent home record with a 1-1 eastern division draw at Norton Road.

A goal to the good after only ten minutes Hastings will feel they should have won a game that they dominated for most of the second half.

There was not a lot to choose between the sides in the first period but Hastings took the lead after ten minute when Duncan McArthur fired home from outside the area from a Terry White corner.

Baldock looked dangerous down their left hand side where Rob Smith caused problems with his pace. Smith came close to claiming an equaliser but his shot across the face of goal was wide of the far post.

The home side levelled five minutes before the break when Christian Hyslop headed home a free-kick with Daniel Harwood caught off his line.

Tony Burt headed wide and Danny Simmonds had a late effort saved by Adam Wheeler as Hastings pressed for a winner .

A last-minute goal plunged injury-hit St Leonards to a 1-0 home defeat to lowly Banbury United.

Saints went into the match with just 12 fully-fit players and struggled to get the better of a Banbury side without a league win this season.

Manager Andy Thomson said: "I thought we had got away with it. I would have been satisfied with a draw considering all the players we have got out."

The home side made the early running with Danny Fletcher and Carleton Chatelier forcing good saves.

Banbury hit back and should have been in front before they hit the winner A long ball over the home defence put Matt Gooderick clear and he shot low past Graham Bannatyne.

Langney Sports striker Matt Allen was praised by assistant boss Nick Greenwood after his two goals helped beat Erith and Belvedere 4-1 at Priory Lane.

Greenwood said: "People tend to moan about Matt missing chances, but they forget he has only just turned 19.

"Last week he played his 100th game for Langney and in that time he has scored 66 goals.

"He has scored 11 this season and the pleasing thing on Saturday was that he was creating chances for others as well. I thought we looked solid and made Erith look ordinary."

Jason Reed headed Langney into an 11th-minute lead only for Steve White to level five minutes later.

Allen's two goals came in the 27th and 37th minutes. Langney increased their lead four minutes from time when Clinton More ran on to a through ball from Ben Austin before steering home.
