In the John O'Hara League Cup, Roger Moore bagged a hat-trick for Chichester but his side lost 5-4 in a topsy-turvy contest at Whitehawk.
Hawks were 2-0 down inside ten minutes but fought back to level with goals from Michael Whelan and Mark Sheriff.
Moore scored his second in the first minute of the second half but Hawks hit back through Tom Graves and Warren Buss. Moore's third made it 4-4 six minutes from time only for Sheriff to bag an 89th-minute winner.
