MICHEL Kuipers is on course for his home debut for Albion against Scunthorpe at Withdean on Saturday.

Kuipers is favourite to keep goal again, with first choice Mark Cartwright struggling to recover from strained stomach muscles.

Cartwright has not trained since sustaining the injury against Leyton Orient ten days ago.

Dutchman Kuipers deputised in last Friday's 2-0 victory at Hull and looks set to do so again in the tussle between two teams in the top six.

The Hull game was only his second Albion appearance, having been substituted at half time on his debut on the opening day of the season.

Manager Micky Adams said: "We didn't take Mark to Hull. We let him have the weekend off to rest up.

"It's always good to have competition for places and people in possession of the shirts are favourites to start on Saturday, but we will wait and see."

Youngster Will Packham was recalled from a loan spell at Bognor to travel to Hull as third-placed Albion's cover keeper.

He could be in goal for the Reserves in Dean White's first match in charge at Bristol Rovers tomorrow night.

Matthew Wicks is expected to make his loan move from Peterborough permanent by the time sixth-placed Scunthorpe visit.

Three of Albion's next four matches are at home and Adams is anxious to take advantage after a hat-trick of away wins.

"The Scunthorpe game can't come soon enough," he said. "It would be nice if we could capitalise on our away form."

Tickets went on sale yesterday for the home match against Plymouth Argyle on October 24.
