Albion go into their Youth Alliance match at Luton on Saturday ready to go Dutch again if needed.

The Seagulls under-19s delighted boss Dean Wilkins for adapting to new tactics and turning possible defeat into victory with a 2-1 win at Gillingham.

Wilkins, who played in Holland, switched from 4-4-2 to 4-3-3 when his side trailed 1-0.

He said: "I got Chris Greatwich and Rupert Sansom playing wide with striker Chris McPhee in the middle supported by and midfielders Stefan Wojciechowski and Shaun Wilkinson, while Dean Hammond patrolled midfield.

"It is a flexible system, a type of Total Football that the Dutch have been known for, and it worked against Gillingham.

"We've used the system before but not for a while and I was pleased with the way they adapted to it. They've shown they can play it."

Wojciechowski and Chris McPhee scored to secure the side's fifth league win of the season.

Daniel Beck (2), Adam Hinshelwood, Matthew Bradford, Matthew Geard and Darren Budd scored as the under-17s beat Gills at Sussex University.
