Details of a £27 million system that experts say will change the face of public transport are to be unveiled.
The concept of the futuristic FastWay scheme for Crawley and neighbouring Horley was first aired last year.
Firms and local people have since put forward ideas to be considered in the scheme, which will be unveiled in an exhibition next week.
Under the scheme, air-conditioned and doubled-glazed buses will be able to bypass traffic jams by using special lanes.
The vehicles will also be able to change traffic lights in their favour and passengers will wait in modern lit shelters with seats.
The scheme will cover about 15 miles from the south of Crawley, through the town centre, to the centre of Horley, through Manor Royal and Gatwick Airport.
Exhibitions will be staged at Crawley Town Hall from October 23 to 28 and November 6 to 10 and at the Waitrose supermarket in Horley from October 30 to November 4.
